I have an older system: Gateway AMD Athlon 750mhz; 256mb ram; 2hdd (20g and 120g); dvd rom and new Pacific Digital DVD+-RW burner; Win98SE.

I have NERO (about one year old).
I have I COPY DVDs2 (cannot utilize DVD43 since it requires XP). I have a call into Me Too Software (maker of I COPY) to ask if they have another program that works tiwh I COPY instead of DVD43).

What is the best way to get started?

Thanks for any responses in advance.

artmanr,
Welcome to the forum. I would see if I could update Nero . You system is marginal but I think it will do what you need done. Then D/L DVD Shrink to compress the DVD and then if the Nero version is 5.5.10 or higher then Shrink will use Nero automatically to burn the DVD. You will also need AnyDVD to rip ( decrypt) the file while using Shrink . Shrink is free and AnyDVD costs $39.00 US. Below is a site you can go to to look at the instructions for DVD Shrink.

I forgot to mention I have DVD Decrypter from about 9 months ago. Is that any help?

artmanr,
You can either use DVDDecrypter( if it was the newest version). If not sure D/L the newest version now from :

http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/ or here:

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/dvd_rippers/dvd_...

Do the d/l now as I do not know how long that site will be up. Use DVDDecrypter in file mode, all files or AnyDVD if you decide to buy it. Have you looked at bbmayo's site yet?
