So i used ISOBuster to get my AVSEQ01.MPG file.
I open up TMPGEnc DVD Author, click on Add file, and i add AVSEQ01.MPG.

I get an error message saying: "The Video GOP is to long" "ignore if your using the XDVD format" which im not.

So i click ignore anyways..and i do everything, and i goto Begin Output, and i get an error saying "the video resolution of 480X576 cannot be used for a standard DVD"

Any help guys!!

Thanks alo

i guess TMPGEnc Dvd Author only supoorts compiliant mpg files, that is already ready to burn to dvd. From where did you get that Avseq01.mpg? from an SVCD ? As it says it has not the right size to use as dvd. Try to change to NTSC in the options maybe it lets you author like that. Other way is to use TMPGEnc Plus and choose the DVD PAL template, and then use the finished file with TMPENG Dvd author

I tried that once too. One reason is because ISOBUSTER does not put the proper mpg header on the AVSEQ01.MPG file. The other reason is that TMPGDVDAuthor can only accept a few resolution sizes and audio types.
352X480(Low res)
704x480
720x480
704x512(pal) i think....

Please check the DVD authoring guides for more info. You'll probably have to re-encode the mpg file into a standard PAL format before Authoring.
----edit----
I remembered that VCDEasy can rip an mpg from an image or a SVCD. If the AVSEQ01 file can play back fine, then it's probably not a header fault... so nevermind about VCDeasy... I was just spouting an idea.
