this is the oddest thing. about a year or so ago i bought a flip lid and swap magic 2.0 and all was well i backed up my games and had no coster problems ( the reason i went this route is i have had nothing but problems with chips), so about 2 months ago my swap magic 2.0 stoped reading ( it got rather scratched up by my kids and has small crach from center) so i ordered the new swap magic 3.6 and i have had nothing but problems at first i thought it was my discs so i tried many different brands then software ( i always used nero before without a problem) tried dvd decrepter and i keep having skipping and loading problems. so then i tried the discs that i have been playing for a year without a problem and they do the same thing. mind you that i have no problems with my originals or cd based games and some backups seem to work just fine. what i want to know is has anyone else ran into this or what am i doing wrong.

Im gathering that u have an old thick ps2!!!

Well what u might wanna try is blowing the ps2 out something might have got in there, especially if u have little kids, my friend had that exact same problem, and we just blew it out,now about every month he blows it out.

Does it still play original ps2 games?
If yes, then send that swapmagic 3.6 in for a refund or exchange,or even try and find swapmagic 3.0

If original ps2 games dont work its your ps2 what is screwed up
I hope it helps.

A couple good things about my girlfriend is that i can shut it off and turn it back on when i feel like it. Also it never yells or screems at me i get to do that to my girlfriend!!! Man i love my girlfriend!!!(Its my pc)lol

i have the same problem
i used to backup my games easy and they still work now
but if i back a up a game and try using my swap magic 3.6 it loads with only has a black screen but all my old ones work perfect.

the only i have done different is how i burn it cause the first time i had ever done it i read on here somewhere saying u use decrypter iso read - write and u go to write u select the iso file and it should come up with a message saying u should have selected the mds file ill do it this time but next time do it urself

and that always worked for me but now it donsnt say that anymore i try burning it with the mds file and it wont work i try iso i have the problem from before about the black screen

note:everything of mine works fine, my dvd burner and my ps2 and swap magic 3.6

What speed are you burning at and what media are you using?
1. Q. How do I burn PS2 games?
A. Use DVD Decrypter. Guide: http://www.angelfire.com/games6/easytutorial/dvddec/dvddec.html Burn at 4x on an 8x DVD-R.

2. Q. Does the type of media I use matter?
A. YES: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/3/240341
If you're too lazy to read, use Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, Ritek, Sony, TDK, Maxell, Sony or Phillips DVD-R's. Avoid Memorex, Staples, Imation, etc.
