I using the dazzle hollywood dv-bridge to connect by vcr to my pc via 1394. Using movie star 5 to capture with the hollywood bridge set on analog to digtal. After two hours to read(play) the tape I have a 24gigabyte file (avi). I am having trouble with movie star 5 trying to render the avi to mpeg-II ntsc, codec = mpeg-II video, etc. I press render and nothing happens. any clues?

Is there better and easier software I can use to convert my old vhs tapes to dvd?

Nero converts the avi to vob in almost 8 hours. Got to be something better.
