Evidently, a new method of saving files is in a .ts format, or transport stream. Once I have have all .ts files how do I put them back together to view on DVD? These are not the files in a DVD directory structure, though I believe they are the same type, these are all xxxxxx.ts files (several progs have id'd them as xxx.ts.ifo) of the same size each. Any ideas.
i suppose you are talking about a movie? in that case you are in the wrong section.
But Nero, CloneDVD2 and DVD Shrink can all burn them i think.
Just open up the program and select all the files by holding shift, clicking on the first file then keep holding shift and click on the last one. It will add all the files in the TS folder to be burned
No, thats not it. Through some research last nite I came up with this assessment. A movie is shown on HDTV (HBO here). Someone copies the movie to their hard drive. It comes in as a "tranfer stream" which is the latest tech for data transfer over the internet/tv. It's one long file or stream, and then the person uses say smart par or the like and cuts the file into pieces, as newsgroups require, and uploads it to a newsserver. I come along and download it. When I get it all, in this case 53 100mb files with the ext. <.ts.ifo>, Wallah, now I have 53 files I need to either join, delete or what I don't know. I am sure there is a way to view these files and I am wondering whether any of you idiots know how? This idiot doesn't. Yet.
