Hi.
I bought a ps2 slim(70012) modded with Matrix Infinity. today. i also bought USBextreme and brand new USB enclosure with Maxtor HD(300gb).i formated HD used NTFS on WinXP. after finished. then connected to Ps2. loaded up usbextreme. it show:"unrecognised or unsupportfilesystem" i tried to start or format it show:"a usb divic is required" What a hell. i also tried different brand name usb enclosure and different HDD but got same problem. please help me fix. I'v spent a lot money on it. Thanks.

you shouldn't have done that. Try reformatting it as a raw disc (i think thats what its called).

as a raw disc? sorry. i don't understand. i used usb enclosure connected to winxp formated this hdd. please help me.

In Disk management under computer management delete the ntfs partition u created and just create a new partition without formatting it. Then use the windows usbextreme utility, http://www.hdadvance.com/download/USBExtreme_wininst.zip , to format the drive.

great.. it work now. thanks so much. i got new way to play backup games. im wonderful that why usbextreme users manul show me worng direction. lol. thanks again.
