We were developing a program that is to be used on an interactive kiosk system. one of the features is you press a button, a video comes up. It is a wmv, playing in wmp 10 and freezes on the first full frame. the audio continues and often the video pics up later in the presentation. there is no consistency. it doesn't always do this on a given video, but does it often enough.

the wmvs were created on another system using Final Cut Pro HD and Flip4Mac as a compression plug in. They consist of a psd page underneath a avi file converted from a swf. It is usually this portion of the video that has difficulty, but again the timeline is merged and compressed as a wmv. The wmv plays perfectly as a stand alone in the player, but when put in the context of the program it has problems.

the kiosk itself plays several of the other videos fine, but has similar problems with a few of them. and has played other videos in the past with no problems.
