Ok. I got a Xbox v1.0 with a faulty motherboard so i got a new motherboard, installed it with a X3 ce chip and 160gb Maxtor drive and loaded all the software - XBMC, boxplorer, complex tools, games movies etc.... All works fine with chip enabled.

Only problem is that it doesnt work with the chip disabled.

I realised that it wouldnt work becuase this new drive didnt have the orginal msdash \ contents of original c: on it. I couldnt get into the original MS stock drive to restore from as the old hard drive is locked to the old faulty motherboard and therefore cannot get the contents of the c drive to use with this new motherboard. I dont fancy taking the eeprom chip of and soldering to the new drive etc..

I used the slayers 2.6 disk and did an install\rebuild for the msdash (using option 4a10).

Now i get error 21. Anybody have any ideas please ? Ive read in some places that people have had problems with the latest xbox live build but they had there old drives \ backup. I dont \ can find any older versions of MSdash \ c drive to try with. Im i going down the right route etc...

Also when i flashed the BIOS with X3_3294 i had it switched to 2mb mode. Does that matter as it seems to load and i dont really want to start reflashing over it as i dont want any other problems to occur because of it.
