You know you can take a screenshot of whats currently on your desktop by pressing the "Print Scrn/SysRq" button next to the F12 button

But how do you take one of a video playing. Ive presseed that button while the video has been playing in my media player and pasted the image into paint but as soon as i close the video the picture of the video disappears in paint. I have tried pausing the video but same thing happens. Does anyone know how to do this.

Cheers in advance

Try using Nero media player to play movie and you can capture a pic of a scene. Another program that works is DVDx media player

I used Power DVD to watch movies and it has a screen snapshot button. So there is no problem with me.

What you see in Paint is atually not the captured image, but the player in the background, so when you shut it down, the image disappears.

Your porblem should be solved by doing the following:
- Rightclick on your desktop adn select "Properties"
- Select the tab "Settings"
- Press the button "Advanced"
- Select one of the tabs (depends on your system) that contains a slider "Hardware Acceleration"
- Move the slider all the way to the left.
- Press OK and close the window

It should work with any type of player.
