ok i put forza motorsports on my hdd and i cannot even play it the game starts up and gets to where it is loading right before a race and i get the disc may be damaged or dirty error i didn;t think anything of it so i never worried about it but i just put gta san andreas on my hdd and am getting the same error

I had the same problem with forza.What burner are you using?

I use DVD Decrypter myself and i had to set it to 8x write speed for it to work so maybe thats the problem.

Try a higher write speed and see if this works hope this helps ya

i burned it with Nero and it seems like it's working fine right until it loads the actual right before you would be playing but GTA san andreas gives me the error right when it loads on the opening screen

Ok try burning at a higher speed try 8x and let me know if you have any luck but if you dont i'll try and help you out

actually now that i think about it i ripped forza straight from the oringinal disc to the hdd and i get the error

ok i burned gta SA at 8x and it still gives me the disc may be dirty or damaged... i didn't realize i had forza on the hdd twice so i deleted them both them re copied it to the hdd and it works fine

pudgdawg sorry for the late reply i was off line for a couple of days.

I might be able to solve your GTA san andreas problem but first i need to know is it the pal version??

I have a patch for the pal version courtesy of another member of this site if it is a pal version

Pudgdawg look this user up and ask him for the patch the user is punqewe

He should be able to sort you out let me know how you get on

i need help with GTA S.A because i have no idea what to do, can you lead me step by step please because i think i have an EvoX but on the dash in settings it says JadX, but further down says somthing about EvoX

Can you please help me, guide me step by step

i get the dirty disc error for gta sa also but i beleive mine is the NTSC version can i try to PAL patch anyway i am out of ideas now and i really want to play this game. i didn't use a cd i just ftped the gta iso straight to the hd. and when i load it black screen red letters disc may be dirty or damaged IDK can somebody please help me!!!

I get exactly the same problem, Backed up a PAL verison of GTA SA on my xbox and when run in PAL setting, it doesnt load at all... When in NTSC it loads, but comes up with the dirty CD error before loading the proper game.
Ive heard about a patch, if anyone can send this to me, or provide a link i can download from that would be great!

Hi all i seem to be having the same problem. an error message "disk dirty or damaged" shows up. Could this be a media problem. Any suggestions would be appreciated. thnx
