I've had to completely reformat my hd and reinstall windows xp. All my original software was pre-installed so I've had to beg and borrow to reinstall. I can now view clips from the internet but still cannot play dvds. I have nero but think I may need windvd. I've downloaded v6. However, I cant install it as I need a serial key. I cant get that off the internet as each site tells me I've exceeded my download of serials, even though I've not actually downloaded any. Am getting so frustrated. Where do I go from here?

download dvd decrypter

both are free programs from the net.

As for nero, go to the AHEAD WEBSITE and download the demo version of nero that is available.This will help with your initial problems and will allow you to burn dvds for a 30 day trial period.I guess you could always buy some original software in the long run.
