Sorry Trent, If you use DVD Shrink you'll lose your menus :(

However if you have Nero you can use Nero's recode2 in the re-author mode you can clip that baby out and still have your menu. Give recode2 a fair shot, it's a great proggy that's way, way under rated -

Otherwise there's a ton of re-Author proggys out there to use :)

Cheers,

Pete

In regards to blanking out copyright warnings, besides using Nero Recode2, which is a great tool, you can also use VobBlanker (freeware). Easy to use. Get it here at http://www.iespana.es/jsoto/ Alternative is you can try DvdRemake or IFOEdit.

I tried DVD Shrink with both the smooth and sharp quality settings. It took over 1.5 hrs to finish for each. Nero Recode2 with advanced analysis and high quality mode took only about 45 min. The end result is that the Recode2 has a better quality picture, to me personally that is. I see some blocky artifacts in fast motion for DVD Shrink output. But if you watch it from far distance, then it doesn't really matter. Maybe I should try the maximum setting next time.

i have backed up the passion successfully

Anydvd + DvdDecrypter + DVD Shrink (4 reduce it)
You have to bypass any error found by DvdDecripter and extract all vobs on HDD, then reduce it whith DVD Shrink. Then yuo've to make a data dvd with Nero. It don't like dvd video!!!
I backup it and it works but my sister's player don't read it.

Good Luck

I had no problems backing this up.I used DVD Shrink and then burned it with DVD Decrypter. The only thing i did was take out the Spanish sub-titles and it plays fine on my stand alone(go video). Thanks Scuba Pete for the Guides.
