sorry about my last thread i was trying to quote and forgot the 't' in the first quote. just wanted to thank 'csimms' and 'nephilim'. and EVERYONE else as well for all the help i received. it seems that updating my firmware has helped, so far, have made three disk and not one has had any freezes, pixelation, or burps. THANK YOU ALL and for all of those people have an i/o magic dvd drive read this thread and i'm sure you will fix any problem you have.

Update: I got the New Burner -NEC 2510A- and it works great. I have left the other one -I/O Magic 4x- on my comp. as I have switched media to Prodisc and I have not had any coasters. I use both at the same time copy and burn. The only draw back that I can see from the NEC is that the read is slow and it takes some time to build speed. I know that it locks at 5x or less and that there is a F/W update that unlocks this, but still burns great and faster than the -I/O magic-. As to the I/O Magic, I have the V0450 F/W. and the NEC 2.05 .

This has been a good thread... for the I/O Magic/BTC/??..later guys..
