i know this a newb question but i never done it how u clean the laser on the ps2?

I don't know if I did it properly but all I did was flip the top of my PS2 open and take a Q-tip with rubbing alcohol and gentely swab it. It worked though

if you have the slim ps2 then all you have to do is what smooth_1 said, flip up the lid and clean the laser with a qtip and rubbing alcohol. if you have an older ps2 (the bigger one) then you have to take the top cover off by removing the screws on the bottom. then you remove the 4 little screws that hold the cover that goes over the laser, take that off then clean it with alocohol.

Maybe it's just me, but this method sounds like a recipe for disaster.

All of my other backups work great. I have burned it at the slowest speed. But I need to try a DVD-R, instead of a DVD+R, maybe that will help

I had problem with ESPN Baseball 2k5 the first time. Then I adjusted the speed of the ISO READ to 4x (dvd Decrypter), and it worked fine. I'm still having problems with MVP Baseball 2005. Is there a patch for it?

ive tried patching the DNA into MVP 2k5 with both disc id inserter and image patcher, then burned to dvd and when i try to connect online it says "authentication error"....any help would be greatly appreciated..thanks

yea smooth, my laser was f'ed up too i had the same prob backups didn't work well and reg games were fine. i have to clean it kinda often it sucks
