Also you can use cdloader by using swapmagic cd at the start if this doesn't work - DVDLoader is the same program as CDLoader just converted to DVD.

1. insert swap magic cd
2. swap for cdloader
3. press x for options menu
4. select 5v3 NO PN option and press x
5. use triangle to eject dvd tray and insert swapmagic DVD
6. use triangle to close dvd tray and press x.
7. You should be prompted with swap disk using EA method.
8. Swap for Shining Tears backup.

Hope this helps

Actually the one I use doesn't even have this "5v3 NO PN" option. Just get to the part where it has the EA method then do a "hold eject" swap for backup if you've a no-solder modchip.

Hi again,

This is the first time ive needed to use DVDloader and i really dont know what the Hell is 5v3 no PN but BAM!!! it worked. Now i dont know what to do with the 8 working backups i have. Thanx a lot titch and gr_wisdom for the great help. By the way just to contribute my backup doesnt do the "constant reading when going to battle" you guys mentioned before, It works the same as the original.
Thanx again and keep it up,
Kev

kevolones,

No problems always glad to help, weird how you don't need to use DVDLoader for some game but glad you got it working. Yeah the loading part is strange i might try some other options with DVDLoader to see if it makes any difference - cheers for the info. It has kinda put me off from playing the game as i dont want to damage my laser.

As for your 8 backups well if you have a garden then there are supposedly good for scaring birds away................

Good to hear you finally got it to work.
The loader I use doesn't have any NvP option nor any option at all, but fortunatley it still works.
I've wasted quite a bundle of dvd's myself in which case I just save one for each game in case I need to re-use their dvd image to re-burn them again.
Hope you enjoy the game after all of the effort you've put into making it work.
