Hi saugy,

It varys from 4350 mb to about 4430 mb. I've been redoing some old bakups made with DVD Shrink and even some made with DVDXCopy xpress and putting them on my hub printable media. I like the pictures better than my sloppy writing, kinda like when I read magazines, I'm really just looking at the pictures since I can't read. Some magazines I buy exclusively for the pictures hehe ;).

I keep every one of my backups under 4360 mbs. I tried the kprobe test, but it wouldn't do anything-so I got rid of it. I haven't run any dvdinfopro pie/pif tests lately.

yeah I forgot, kprobe doesn,t work right with litey dvd-roms. It needs to be a dvdrw. I never use dvd shrink anymore. I rip with dvd decrypter w/ anydvd running in the background, then use DVD Remake to edit out previews, trailers, and warning screens leaving a functional menu and deleted/ extended scenes, bloopers, and the making of if I choose. The trimmed vidio folder is usually around 7500 mb. I then use dvd rebuilder to remove unwanted audio and subpictures, encode with CCE basic and burn with nero. I leave the target size set at default which is around 4436 mb I think. I don't have any problems with the default target size since I use the verbatums for this. If I start useing some of the prodiscs on new backups, I will probably set the target size to around 4400 mb. I have a 52" big screen and can not distinguish these backups from the originals. I most definitely could when I was useing dvd shrink. Intervidio DVDCopy3 is my next choice after RB/CCE.

Edit: The free version of dvdinfopro is no longer available as of 4/25/2005.
