i have confirmed that the dvd+r for the Linkyo media is :Media ID: OPTODISCOR8
not a great media in my opinion, others might disagree, but, i try to stay away from optodisc whenever i can, i'll take prodisc over them anyday~ and then TY or Verbatim over all those other brands at any given time~
i have yet to receive confirmation for the dvd-r Linkyos', as i was interested in only the dvd+r verbatims MCC003 that have worked flawlessly for me, and as the promotion states...if you order plus, u get 100 plus linkyo's, if you order dash (-) then you receive the 100 dash linkyos.
i am just waiting for someone to post up the media id code for the linkyo dvd-r format. i can tell everyone on here right NOW that if they code out as TYGO2, which i have this feeling they will, they are 100% FAKE TY's as linkyo is a company in taiwan and they ONLY produce discs in taiwan, real TY's are only produced in japan.
reason i have this bad feeling about the dvd-r linkyo's is a few months ago my friend gave me a 25pk of dvd-r 8x to try, they had no markings or no brand name to them. i have over 2 thousand genuine, authentic TYS, so i know what i am talking about when it comes to identifying real Taiyo Yuden. the discs from the "unknown" 25pk they coded out as TYGO2s on 3 diff. identifier programs of mine. but, they were MADE IN TAIWAN. so, im just trying to figure out which company made these fake ty's i have, my search continues, but, if someone confirms these linkyo's to be TYGO2...then my journey has come to an end. my disc scans of these discs have been horrible and to say the very least, out of the 25pk my friend gave me, more than 1/2 are already unplayable now...they were burned 3 months ago.
i just want some closure on my search for the fake TYs, once i know, ill be happy~ please post codes if any of you jump on this deal w/ the verbatims and the free linkyo dvd-r's.
