Hey Rotary,

I haven't done any "testing" on Flder to ISO as I'm only interested in using ISO's when I'm backing up episodel DVD's BUT I haven't experienced any issues to date.

What should I be on the lQQkout for ?

Burning Verbatim DVD+R DL at 2.4x using DVDDecrypter and an MDS file created by same (with AnyDVD running in the background), I'm seeing stuttering in towards the end of a movie and actually lost audio completely at one point.

I do not, however, see any stuttering on a single layer disc created using the same MDS+ISO, compressed with DVD Shrink and burnt with Roxio on cheap media.

Any suggestions are appreciated if available. Is more information needed?

hi all

@ scubapete

this is a picture of a normal dvd and a dvd ripped and shrunk with dvd shrink / dvd decrypter ...

an iso made with foldertoiso doesnt have the UDF structure, try loading 1 of yours from foldertoiso

udf i think is for older stand alone players etc, nero burns udf/iso too

it may work in certain circumstances but something to watch out for!

you get the same folder structure with tmpgenc dvd author iso facility

ignore title of film, its the structure that counts

and same film iso-ed with foldertoiso

if its working for you kool...

Nothing here to see, move along folks.

hi guys again... I burned a verbatim DL at 2.4x with decrypter...and i noticed that at the change of the layer that is somewhere in the middle of the dvd..that there is a one second freeze in the picture.. is it normal?! (sometimes it s hard to notice it, but if u pay attention also to the timer of the Dvd player..u see that it one second changes quickly to the next one)

hi

with dual layer burnin use DVD Decrypter on iso read and then iso write easy! but make sure you get the .MDS aswell as .ISO

you load the mds as this carries the layer break info

I have a problem decrypting "Spanglish"...i use Decrypter...and i get a structure protection. I could not use iso ripping...but i went with the file option and it was successfully stored in my PC. However, I am afraid it won t copy the movie...since there was this protection!!! What should i do? has anyone attempted something similar?

@tsatsos00:
Hi patriotaki, oso yparxoyn tsatsoi tha eimaste apatsi.
Best combination is AnyDVD with CloneDVD if you want to save money instead of producing DL coasterss. Believe me theese programs worth every penny you spent. Best investment ever had.
Use Verbatim +R DL discs and write them to certified speed (2.4X currently available in the market).

There is no need that both audio_vts and video_ts folders to co-exist. Video_ts folder is enough. As I already mentioned CloneDVD removes the layer break. It works bor both iage and file mode stored files. You can test it before buying. Nero 6.XX seems to have problems to write DL discs (according to my experience). Keep writing speed low (For my external Plextor 716 hooked on IEEE I use only 2.4X speed).
