Sudden Problem Writing with Decrypter

ok so i installed those drivers and the bar on the Nero thing went green and it looks just like yours now, but decrypter still fails...on the other hand i used Nero and everything is fine....this is the weirdest thing i have EVER seen!

Ok, I have a PC on my Bench right now that just HAPPENS to have this very burner on it:
DVD-Decrypter says that it is indeed a 812S: That 8125 thing must be a typo of some sort, cos in the device manager it SAYS 8125 - Or, maybe my eyes have gotten blown out from close proximity to the monitor ehe.

Now, I am going to burn the thing.
I have heard a LOT of bad things about this burner... As a matter of fact, I have a SONY DRU-500AX, and last I saw was that SONY optical drives were merely re-branded Lite-On. Is it possible that this burner a re-branded DRU-500AX? If so, and there is a firmware question, check with the Sony firmware site:

Anyway, I am burning at 4x right now, seems to be going good: IF this unit is the same as my SONY unit, but just re-branded, then it is a good burner: IF you do the firmware update!
I keep my firmware always up to date on every piece of hardware that requires a f/w u/d!

And I have to say this burner, that average write rate? If you check between max write rate and average write rate it gives you an idea of stability - Average was 3.9x, max was 4.1x. So, that is pretty good, so the only advice I would give if I were to be so bold would be to tell the users that are having problems, to remove all the excess burning crap out of your system: Get rid of ASPI, get rid of GEAR. If you are using Nero, then the Nero Aspi DLL file is as much as you will need.
I find that a lot of people have multiple problems when they have several conflicting burning proggies. For example, on my main PC, I run Roxio Easy CD Creator 6, and I have all the poo removed, like all that imaguing and audio poopoo? It's gone. I also delete delete delete (or better yet, never install) the Roxio "Drag and Drop" burning thing, know why? cos it uses a prorpietary file format. Whereas Windows CD Burning uses regular ISO. Also, on my main machine, I have Nero Burning Rom, 6.3.1.0, Fireburner 2.17, CDR-WIN 3.something - Used only as imaging software, and Alchohol 120%.
I used to have more, and I am in the process of removing the excess crapola.
If your purpose is JUST to back up your data and moovies, then all you need is DVD-shrink/Decrypter/Region-Free/Nero, and a large hard drive to hold the images, hah.
But I also do authoring, and I use Sonic Foundry (Note, Sonic Foundry, NOT Sony!) DVD-Architect, which, when used right, is a GREAT authoring tool.
So, getting back to the burner, just delete every burning proggy you do not need, and get rid of the ASPI layers and gunk and crud and poo that these programs install, and leave in your system after deleting the program.
