Don't turn on via opening the tray. I know that may sound sarcsastic towards your post but trust me it's not meant to be, just hear me out.

When you power on the xbox that way, I think a screen comes on that looks like the MATRIX Language. I also believe it tells you

It actually just says the main installer options. It says nothing about turn me back off or anything. It looks like the unleash x default skin yet it says Create backup, delete backup, Restore backup, install softmod, install evox, install Unleash x, Patch ms 59??, and so forth. I had a linux mod on the box before i upped the hdd but since i did and i modded it myself it now has this safety feature that is there, from what i can tell, to take the mod off. with the other mod i had before i could turn it on by opening the tray and it would auto load my evox dash. I really hope this makes since because i know it is possible because i had it before. i just want to know how to get it back this way. its not that i cant live with it like this it is just annoying since i am used to the other way. Any help would be good. THanks again.

Well, that's the screen that initiates the install of a softmod. I'm really not a fan of softmods or pro by any means but I know to get 'em working. If that screen comes up and this is a different install than the one you did before then you might just have to live with it. It doesn't sound like the softmod you're using now is gonna let you boot that way. You should either revert to your prior one or kinda take in the newness. ;)
