Everyone has their different tricks and miracle success stories, and here's mine. Being completely unaware of any compatibility generalizations, I will say that I messed around with Memorex DVD-Rs and with TDK DVD-Rs, with about a 40% success rate alltogether. Since using Sony Ver. 2.0 1X-8X DVD-Rs, Ive had 100% success and even re-burned games that were skippy on them and they turned out perfect. Makes sense to me, Sony PS2, Sony DVD-Rs.

these a guy with some sense sony dvds i never thought of that although it does make loads of sense, cheers mate. (im not being sarcastic as it might read that i am) But to copy on to hard drive you need to copy it to dvd first as the real disc causes read errors. It does work with no slow loading or anything, however in my opinion all this trouble is not really worth a game that has no where near lived up to its hype!

Oh finally someone that agrees with me!!! Agh this game sucks!! I thought it was gonna be good, and I gotta admit the graphics are pretty alright, BUT the interface and music are nowhere as good as those of MC3 DUB.

Yeah graphics are alright the best descrption of it is a slow burnout copy with mods! Although the steering compared to any driving game i have ever played is pretty horrific! The overall game play is pretty crap, and to be honest i would not have spent the 3 pund to rent it let alone bought it!

It burnt fine but its so damn slow when its LOADING!!!
Its unbarable! it takes 10 minutes to load the actual menu screen and even more to load a race!
Im using swap magic 3.6 and burnt it on TDK DVD-R and once on DVD+R but still the same problem but a little bit better on the DVD+R.
CAN ANYONE HELP??!
I also have the problem where the backup seems to be working but loads extremely slowly. I used DVD Decrypter and burned 2.4x on a Maxell DVD+R media (that I have had very good luck with on other backups). Not sure what the problem is with this title.

Its been said a million times before, and it will probably be said a few more million times. Some will listen, and succeed, while others will sit and be frustrated, burning coaster after coaster. Here goes: try using different media! We have all had a certain type of DVD-R that worked for a while and then some punk game loads slow or skips badly, and we start thinking too technically. Maxell and TDK have had a 40% success rate for me personally, which means that some worked awesome, and others were just duds. Ive had 100% success with Sony DVD-Rs Ver. 2.0 1x-8x, knock on wood. Thats just the way it goes sometimes. God of war is too complex for my TDK discs, Mercenaries didnt work on Maxell, Memorex couldnt handle Revenge Of The Sith. I ripped them again from those discs, burned them on Sony discs, and now even God Of War works great with no skips. Just try different media!! Good luck
