What program do I need to use to edit the new Halo 2 maps. I used Ch2r on the original maps and it worked fine, but any of the new maps I edit with Ch2r do not work like the old ones did. Please help. Thanks

when ever i mod a map for halo 2 then ftp it into the maps folder and replace the old map i keep loosing memory off the e drive am i doing sumthing wrong?

Using dothalo or ch2r I have patched the turf map (as well as any of the other new maps) and put it back under the Tdata location but when I try to load the map that I modded it tells me I failed to load the map. Is there a special way to transfer the maps back to your box or do I need to do anything with the patch.lvl or the patch_v3.lvl. I am putting the modded map in /E:/TDATA/4d530064/$C/4d53006400000002/ and overwritting the orig map that was in there. Plz help

zeggy you might need to DL encryptomatic from http://tf6.epgservers.net/encryptomatic.php Since i'm to lazy to write it myself, heres the description from the fantastic 6's website
"While it is our policy not to release our tools for the publics use, we are making one concession. Every map in Halo 2 has an Encryptomatic Signature, which prevents modifications to be made. Since even the simplest of changes cannot be done without correcting the Encryptomatic Signature, we have decided this was too important an ability to keep to ourselves.
The Fantastic 6's very own Iron_Forge has determined the algorithm used to calculate the Encryptomatic Signature, and passed this information on to the legend MonoxideC. With this, he has created a Fantastic tool which can apply the correct Encryptomatic Signature to a map that has been modified, allowing Halo 2 to load the map without giving a dirty disk error."

alright here is where the new maps are located on your xbox. First you must FTP to your box then once logged on go to E/Tdata/4d530064/ then 0001 00002 0003 are the loctaions of the new maps make sure to keep everything about them the smae when u take them out an put them back in. Do not chnage the name and make sure to fix the encryption on it after u edit them before putting it back on!!! ooh and by the way triplicate.map is terminal deltatap.map is sanctuary and dune.map is relic!!!!
And you must edit them using either a hex editor or a H2 edito such as dothalo which can be downloaded form here: http://www.halomaps.com
Click on xbox programs then dothalo. It is in a .rar format so u must have WinRAR to open it. WinRAR can be downlaoded for free here: http://www.download.com/WinRAR/3000-2250_4-10427683.html?tag=lst-0-1

I kinda figured it out a few days back now ...
I personally use PPF-O-MATIC because its an easy interface and it AUTO-PATCHES

Well if un are online and are a modder u are most likey about to be boot form halo 2 mathmaking and will be inevdable what u get banned permenatly!

SORRY to be the one to brek the news to u bud there is nothing public about patches from u getting banned. Although there are rumors to having one on the down lw and VERY VERY few people have it and those people are keeping it a secret. But that doesnt mean tha there will never be one.

Ok I have a question that is a little off topic, I know someone who installs modchips but when I saw one i noticed that the dashboard was blue and i dont think it was EvoX on Avalaunch i was wondering if there is a way to put EvoX or avalaunch on that mod chip after I got it ?
Ps I Am really new at all this Xbox Mods and backing up stuff

Ok u wanted to know if u do get a modded xbox if u can change the dash board and the answer is ABSOLUTLY YES AND IN FACT IT IS VERY EASY. And with redgards to ur comments on the existing dash it sounds like the deafult skin for Unleashx dash board.

Ok, I am a complete newb and basicly all i want to know is how to do this. I have a friend who told me what to get but not what to do. I have the mechassault loaded linux run , Smart FTP , 2 network cards on my computer, with bridged connections to my xbox, dothalo, and .netframework. now all i would like to know is how to get the new downloaded maps to my pc, then to dot halo, then back on my xbox, and what all i need to change on the loaded linux run.( i havent touched anything since i loaded it ) PLEASE HELP!
