Hi judyall,

Use AnyDVD to rip that DVD OR use DVD Decrypter - both will work.

For further information, use aD's search feature to look for resident evil - there are many, many threads solving that encryption.

You'll have to begin using DVDD or AnyDVD because Shrink cannot rip any of the ARccOS encryptions OR their clones. As a matter of fact, it can't do anything that's come out since last August at this time. It's ripping capabilities are limited to then and will NEVER be upgraded.

thank you very much scubapete

i have only ever used shrink as i find it uncomplicated which comes in handy for a dimwit like me (half the time i believe the successes i have are down to dumb luck!)

does what you say about shrink mean i will have to start all over again with something else now (i don't think i could bear it)

ps i cannot believe i have had an answer from the man himself! i have read your posts with interest (not that i understand everything you say) i'm made up anyway...

Heh, heh, No, no sweet Judyall, continue to use DVD Shrink in good health. It shall be unmatched as a freeware for some time to come. I suggested AnyDVD because it works in the background, you wouldn't even know it was there and it would "appear" that DVD Shrink was ripping all the discs.

The ripping part of DVD Shrink is all that's outdated. If it's a case of $$$$ then download DVD Decrypter and follow the guide for Shrink and Decrypter in my sig to learn how nicely Decrypter works with Shrink to rip and then to burn your discs.

AnyDVD - http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvd.html

Relax, grab a Coke (don't forget to get one for me as well), sit down and walk your way through that guide and you'll do fine :)

Cheers,

Pete
