I have a backup of AR MAX EVO. I tried your method with the USB Stick but it doesn't work. I have some questions.
1. When you refer to the USB Stick you mean the USB Flash Drive right?
2. How do you put codes onto your USB Stick???

you cant use ar max backup with backup games, it has to be orignal ar max.

I have the original AR MAX as well with the AR MAx Memory Card. How do I preform the memory card trick. I read your post and some of it I didn't understand. Did I do it correctly
1. Load AR Max with AR Max Memory Card.
2. Go to expert mode and select codes.
3. Put Swap Magic 3.6 in and press x
4. Right when it says "Now Loading Game" pull out the AR MAX Memory Card.
5. After Swap Magic loads up Swap it with you game.
Then the game should load up????
IS that right or is it the PS2 memory card to pull out???

make sure that any memory card you have in the ps2 are taken out until the game loads. or it will go to the browser screen. and you have the steps right so far.

I just got a swap magic 3.6 and i have AR MAX with the USB. And i've tried all these methods and none of them work for me. I've been trying to load codes on Digital Devil Saga 2 and devil may cry 3 so far. And all that happens is the screen will go black and the disc wont spin anymore after i boot using the swap magic. Or it will go to the ps2 browser and tell me its not a ps2 disc. Can anyone help me??? am i missing anything. Sorry if i am just stupid i just dont get it.
any help would be great.

i have had the exact same problem with some of my games, total overdose is a good exsample of this, i figured out what the problem is, total overdose was rebuilt so the data on the DVD disc has changed so when action replay eneble's it'self onto the ps2 game's DVD and load with the game when you first boot it wont be able to do that because the part of ps2 DVD game memory that it's supposed to be in has changed therefore making the game freeze or not load in this case. i even tried my method to load ar max and it didnt work with the rebuilt games. so thats the main reason.
you can't play cheat codes with rebuilt games, it just dont work. thats the downside to swap magic. :( i have thorght about getting mod chip because of this.

hey i tryed everything i have a pstwo slim and i have swapmagic v3.6
and swapmagic tool kit so im trying to use gameshark v4 and action replay evo so i put the gameshark or the ar evo i pic the code i want
then i hit start the disc is still spinning i can't swap it for the swapmagic does any boby now how to make it work

dont try to put the back up when you load ar max, put the swap magic first then let it save then when it says 'loading game' take all the memory cards out, that is very important. and i dont know if this method will load with gameshark the same way. make sure that one of the slim tools are taken out to stop the disc from spinning so that you can put the swap magic in the ps2 then when you put the swap magic in the ps2 put the slim tool you just took out back in. try this it should work, you have exactly what i have.

you know the tool right at the front of the ps2, carefuly take it out and put in swap magic. when it detects disc and goes to codes for your chosen game, put the same tool back where it was before.

can you answer my question please? what are you doing to load the backup with cheats? then i can tell if you are doing a step wrong. and if you want to know how to do it, read my previous post, it's been confirmed to work so there is nothing worng with this method, i think this problem is to do with you not doing the sequence properly.

1st. im taking out the tool in the fornt putting in the ar max in i find my cheat i need then i take out the disc out and memery card
2nd.i'll put in the swapmagic and memory card and the tool back in
3rd.i'll put in the backup disc in and it would load but the it will frezze so what am i doing wrong so can you tell me in detail how you do it.sorry to keep bother you with this i just want to play my games with the cheats.

no, there is one step you are doing wrong, leave the memory card in the ps2 when you are using AR MAX, ONLY take it out when AR AMX says 'loading game' with the black backgronud.
rember, as soon as AR MAX loads (at main screen, where it has expert mode, memory card manager e.t.c.) take the front tool out to stop the disc from spinning, then put in the swap magic, let it detect disc then it will go to the code list or the game you previously used with that disc.
if it goes to codelist, select the game you want to use codes with from there, select codes and press start, it will now save (the reason why you must leave the memory card in) and go to the 'loading game' screen.
after 'loading game' screen appears (the memory card should be removed by now) swap magic should load, take out swap magic, (just as you usually use swap magic) and put in backup then press X.
when you have done this wait till you get to the title screen for your game, or if it says 'no memory card detected, please insert memory card to continue' put the memory card back in and play the game as usual with codes enabled.
simple! just follow these exact steps and you will be fine, and note, rebuilt games dont work with cheat codes the disc will just stop spinning, but i did find something, if you select 1 code with rebuilt games not all of codes, the game will load.

i dont know if it just me but i can not get the disc to stop spinning i have a slimline ps2 which i have fitted with magic keys 2 . when i go to swop discs (swap magic) the disc doesnt stop spinning how can i get round this?
