Go to " public hubs " ( it's the pc image in the upper left )
then wait for the list of hubs to appear and enter in the " filter " box a name like " ps2 " or " games " should come up with some hubs that matched the search just double-click on the hub name to enter from there every hub has it's own rules so you'll need to talk to the op's of that hub to set you up there to reg or something like that :)

I just try DC++. It is so cool. however, i have little problem when log in some hub. it gave me a messege: "You havn't got enough slots open, you've got 1 and the minimum allowed is: 2" what it that mean and how can i fix it? Thanks

go to file >>> settings >>> sharing
there you will se what you can share and you can adjust how many slots you would like to have

Hi DwZ!
Great Work teaching how to use DC++...
there is another important difference between DC++ and IRC.
IRC is cool, great speed and blah, blah... but DC++ have more sources to download.
in IRC, you need to connect to a fserv, wich give you the requested file, and gennerally is 1 slot per user, ans 1 slot by server (tipically, in a fansub configuration)
and irc is most for "advanced" users. There is not "search buttons" and thinks like this. All are made by "commands", and there are so many users that don´t like to use (arcaic) commands.
DC++ is more user intuitive. the chat, the windows organization, and the info of each download is usefull and clear.

could anyone help me with this messege from DC++ :"Your direct connect client has supplied an invalid IP address in a connection request (client sent 192.168.10.2, you have 78.14.217.268)"

That was a glitch ya need to enter your correct IP adrres
( to be active )
or if your IP is constantly changing like mine is then ya don't need to enter anything

Hi Dwz...
I'm having some problems with my HDs (1 of these HD have a broken pin, and i can´t connect property), and i think Utopia BOT hate me, because is kicking me each time i try to connect to the HUB, because i have so many files, and many of these files have "Advs" about torrent, emule, irc channels, etc... in the filename.
i'm working to solve these problems. I miss to read the chat of utopia... (and learn english too ;P )
Say to everybody... i'll come back... (soon)

Well yes the new bot doesn't allow any links in shared files so you need to delete any links in your share .
After that you should get in in no time :)

Well listen up
ya need to find a hub to sit in and to dload games from you can find the hubs in the upper right corner of DC++ ( it has a monitor sign on it )
after pressing it wait 'till ya dload the list of all the hubs a BIG list should appear after a while then just choose the hub ya wanna join ( some hubs need you to get register to allow you to dload )
also consider the search option it's the magnifying glass sign in the upper part of dc++
well that's it if ya need something else to be explained post a message i'll be happy to help ;)

Beyfo, may you need to register your nick to get download functionallity...
Some hubs allow to the users to register his nicknames. Another, requires an OP (or similar) to get registered.
read carefully the rulz (this appears when you get connected to the hub, or in some cases, when you use "!rulz" o "!rules" in the main chat.)
In the rulz appears the conditions to get the functionallity of the hub. Look for min share, min slots, kind of contents (some hubs don´t allow sex images, etc...). Make sure you accomplish all the minimum requeriments to be connected in a hub.
