Chill man, I got the same error the first few times i loaded the cd... i burnt it at 8x which was too much for a smooth run first time. Just keep putting in the cd through cdloader and it will eventually load all the files, hey presto

If you have another way to load your exploit disc/"installer cd" then you don't need cdloader.elf, cause i don't understand how you've came to a screen saysing "failed to load cdvd.irx" if you don't have a way of loading your exploit disc (and that's all you need cdloader.elf for, to load your main disc).
Cdloader.elf would be on a different disc from the exploit, its only needed to load the exploit disc through ARMAX.
Anyway, i sent you a PM for your email address, when you get my version of cdloader.elf, you might find that what you're looking for.

I'm sorry to bump an old topic, but has anyone had success with this? See, when I try to load elfs from Armax, I get a black screen, just like Gamer had. The only elf I can really load is MCLoad, and that's no help to me on a slim pstwo. I've tried loading of of cds and pendrive. I've burnt cds with max media creator and load it in armax media player, but black screen. Arrgghhh! It's been 18 days since last post on this topic, and I was just wondering if gamer got it to work, or jjax can help me out.

I made a "Buyer Beware" topic on this issue. I have in my posession both a version 3.30 and a version 3.34 disc of Action Replay MAX. version 3.34 will NOT allow backup playing elf files to load (but the ELF versions of HD Loader and USB Advance work fine), but 3.30 will allow (to what I know) any ELF file to execute.
This is most likely an attack at beginner users (read:Warez Kiddies, etc.) to just use a thumb drive to boot a backup playing tool. Pissed me off when I found out that my new AR MAX didn't allow my backup playing tools to allow me to play backups of my really heavily scratched games.

The ARMAX i've got sounds the same as yours, redrabbit, it only loads Mcloader.elf, pgen.elf and snes_emu.elf off of pendrive. It will, however, load cdload75.elf off of cdr!!! - and this is how i managed to install my exploit. I've made a few posts at page 16 or so of the thread "vcd on ps2".. this tells you a step-by-step of how to get this to work

jjax, I've read your VCD posts before posting, but with no success. Here is what I'm doing, maybe you can see what I'm doing wrong.
I download cdload75.elf (or whatever its called) off of console.iscentral.net. That seems to be ok. Next, after downloading the newest max media creator, I burn cdload75.elf to a bin/cue image, and burn it with Nero using the image burn wizard thingy (either my drive or disc isn't supported with mmc, and have thought that maybe the disc is the problem). I load Armax into my slim pstwo, wait for it to boot, scroll accross to media player, press x (i know i'm not doing any of that wrong). I wait and then insert my disc. I press X on cdload.elf to play it. Black Screen. More Black Screen. After waiting for a few minutes there is still a black screen staring right back at me.
This is irritating the heck out of me. I have read your post on VCD, over and over again to check and double check to make sure I haven't done anything wrong. After searching JJAX on the forums (yes kiddies, use the search) I have read each of the threads you 'star' in.
Basically I'm asking...
Do I have to wait longer?
Do I have to use a different Disc?
Do I have to use a different CDLOAD75.elf, or CDLOADER.elf?
Do I have to keep trying until it works?
I'm truly sorry for being such a pain in the arse (aussie). No really, I am. But could you please help me?

I'm no expert on ARMAX, but burning .bin images, I can help you there. If you use Nero to burn, make sure you're using Nero Burning ROM, not Nero Express or Start Smart. Select Disc at Once for your burning method, set the write to speed to 4x at max, click finalize CD and uncheck jitter control. If you get the foreign image, make sure data mode 2 is selected.

redrabbit man, i can see you're doing all the steps right and you know what you're talkin' about!
The only thing i can think of is that my cdload75.elf file wasn't downloaded off that site. If you send me your email address by pm i'll send the file that i've used on to you... this should work, if it doesn't, then i've been wrong in assuming this will work for "everyone".
Gamer555 had the same problem, and i sent him my cdload75.elf file, he put it on cdr and it loaded!, so lets see how it goes when i send you on my file!

By the way, I did mean to ask to jjax what speed to burn it at... that's another problem i wasn't sure about. Because using Nero, Alcohol or whatever will only allow me to burn at 8 times, and I'm not sure, can DVD Decrypter burn cds, because that will let me burn at whatever speed I want to.

Yeah 8x is definitely too fast. Does your burner burn CD's below 8x?

mine doesn't, but I have access to one that can burn slower... so you think I should. OK. thanks Tokijin for your help.
Thanks for the CDLoader jjax, now I just have to burn it, and see if it is going to work for me.
Crossing my fingers...
