There's really no need to run DVD IDer on them b/c we all know about the quality of those disc. If one in a spindle is cmc mag all of them are going to be. Alot of ppl starting out think that jsut b/c something is cheaper it's not as good, which honestly in most cases is true.

your media ID scan on dvd identifier just validates why i ALWAYS tell people to avoid TDK~ :) while i already dislike TDK's own manufactured media, unfortunately you didn't fare much better :(
the ONLY ones "good" in the above 3 you mentioned rihgt682 are the 8x DVD+R MCC003 Verbatims...the other 2, well, i needn't need to say anything...you should already know~ :)

Dude, that looks alot like the burned side. I can see the f%%##$ grooves from the burn, man!!! :oP That also happens to be the side the laser reads from, so your Sharpie marks would give you the same effect as a fingerprint or oily smudge on the disc. Why don't you take some alcohol and rub off the pen marks and see if you still have the same skipping problem? I know Verbatims are crap now, but that shouldn't turn colors unless it's a fake. The heat from the DVD player usually ruin inferior discs alot faster because of the cheap dyes they use.

Where did you hear Verbs were crap? They're still MCC made so thye can't be that bad? I occasionally use Verbatim, I usually go w/ TY, so I can't be 100% sure of this but I'm pretty sure it's still good. And he is using optodisc.

Hearing that kind of makes me sad, Verbatim was one of the last strongholds for good, quality media, now all we got are TY, Maxell (or not), and RiData. So all Verb media I buy now are not MCC? ANd what about Verbatim MIJ, are they not TY anymore?
