Both software programs are good, like ScubaBud said cd-dvd speed used 1ecc error checking which is drive dependant not software. You should get pretty much the same results if you use 8ecc in both programs or use 1ecc in both programs to compare.

If you cant dazzle them with brillance, then baffle them with bullshit...

Heads up CMC bashers...this scan outdid my RITEKG05's although I did get these discs over a year ago. Also it's not a full disc LOL, but still....the outlook looks promising!

@alkohol

Like what xtlee just stated, Nero CD Speed uses what your drive is designed to use where as DVDInfoPro in your last test result used 8ECC instead of 1ECC. I am not sure if you can program DVDInfoPro to default to one or the other. So in your case, I would suggest staying with Nero testing instead of DVDInfoPro, unless it can be changed to 1ECC for your burner.

Quality scan results using Nero CD Speed go like this:

Max PIF 8ECC 1ECC
1 99 99
2 99 95
3 99 93
4 98 90
5 97 84
6 97 77
7 96 70
8 95 64
9 95 57
10 94 50
11 94 48
etc.

If that's the case, then it would imply that you can actually make a scan looks whatever you want it to be, as someone has mentioned before.

If so, what happened to standards? If a program is done to favor a pioneer drive, then the results will be great for that drive. Then scans won't be accurate anymore, don't you think so?
