The format used by GTA, and disguised by the .gta extension, is in fact ATRAC3 compression, the type Sony uses for it's mp3 walkmans etc. Any up to date audio editing software will open the .gta files so they can be saved as mp3s and such. This can work the other way so you can put your mp3s and save them as ATRAC3 compressed wav files, which you can then just rename to .gta :D
