Did someone mention AJ Hawk? Go Bucks!!! Fiesta Bowl is their home-field advantage they win it so much. The national championship game is there next year, I hope Vince Young doesn't go pro so we can meet him again in that game and finish the job we didn't get done this year.

Brady's sister also works for Fox sports. They showed her quite a bit. She had a jersey on that was half OSU and half Notre Dame. I laughed my ass off when AJ hawke sacked brady twice and the camera went right to her holding her hands to her face saying UGGH! LOL
Then the announcers would say Hawke sacked his future brother in law.
AJ's a stud. He was under rated compared to the other linebackers that were in his recruiting class like Mike D'Andrea. Just imagine if Bobby Carpenter played that game.He broke his ankle on the first play of the Michigan game. That guy hits just as hard and flys almost as fast as Hawke. Hell of a 1-2 punch. His stats for some of those games were better than hawkes.
If vince young leaves early, that NFL draft will be loaded for the first 8-10 picks.Santonio holmes is also leaving, UGGH!
The pros will tear up reggie bush.He will probably be another heisman flop drafted in the NFL.
Hawke and carpenter will fit right in the NFL. Both hit hard and do under 4.5 in the 40.No showboating, just class.
Vince Young would have to go as the first pick for the texans or maybe they'd trade down for more picks. Big/fast/and a strong/fairly accurate arm. He'd be like a michael vick with accuracy. The pros do have trouble with big and fast quarterbacks.
I can't wait for next season to start!
Edit: BTW: Did anybody get that email sent by Lauren Bowden's ex boyfriend, Naked and Clean Shaved! Sweeeeeeeeeeet! I got it!
Lauren is Tommy Bowden's-Auburn's coach/ daugher-according to that email, thus making her Bobby Bowden's grand daughter-head coach of the Florida State Seminoles!

Yeah that's him. He's gonna become an exceptional talent in a few years time. Just hope he doesn't choose Chelsea to play for as he'll be wasted.

"West Virginia dropped back to punt on fourth-and-6 at the Bulldogs 48. Phil Brady hauled in the long snap but took off running, gaining 10 yards on the fake and a game-clinching first down."
What the hell does all that mean?

Team A didnt gain enough ground in their first 3 tries so on the 4th there are 2 choices. risk it, or give a kick to try and gain field position, but giving the other team at least 4 tries on the offense. Team A faked the kick, caught all unaware, and gained enough ground to sustain offense.

You might aswell write in Japanese, at least I can use Babel fish to translate!

"It's American college football -- real football, not soccer!"
I find this statement particularly ironic, I rarely see anyone using their feet to kick the ball. It should be called "handball". Football means ball contacted by a foot. Real football is what is played in Europe, not a glorified rugby match with lots of padding, because the tarts that play it do not wish to get hurt!
I have not heard a decent argument to contradict the above.
You are quite welcome to try.
That should provoke a reaction.

4th-and-6 - 4th down, 6 yards to get a first down.
first down - in football you get 4 downs (or plays) to gain 10 yards, if you do, it's first down again, and you get 4 more chances to gain the next 10 yards, and so on
punt - punting is kicking the ball farther into your opponents territory, so they have farther to go to score - this is usually done on 4th down because if you run a traditional play on 4th down, and don't make the required yardage, the other team gets the ball where you were stopped. If you fake a punt, the same rules apply, but it's disguised, because it looks like you're about to punt, but then you can pass or run out of it, which is what this guy did.
What makes this a game-clinching first down, is that there was still time left on the clock for Georgia to score, but since the first down allowed West Virginia to run more plays, they ran the rest of the time off the clock, and the game was over.
Bulldogs 48 - A football field is 100 yards, but since there's more than one yard-marker for each number, they refer to it by using the team's name who is defending that half.
Long-Snap
You can download a 15-min. clip of Sugar Bowl highlights from iTunes for $1.99. I'm sure they'll show the play there.

Pulsar: In american football,a team has 4 downs to get a first down which is usually 10 yards. If you don't get the first down on first/second/or third down-then they have several options.
1)Field goal:they can try a field goal-depends on how strong/accurate their kicker is and what yard line they are at or score of game. You can also kick a field goal on any down, but miss it-ball goes over to the other team.
2)Out of fied goal range, which some college kickers are terrible, then they can punt the ball. This will make it longer for the other team to travel for a score.
3)If it's 4th and a couple yards or game is nearly over, there's many options:
Go for it- 4th and 1 is fairly easy unless you're USC- LOL.
Fake punt-set up for field goal and kicker runs/throws ball.
Fake field goal-same,but holder may flip ball to a runner.
Many factors for what to do,when to do it.
The desparation time at end of game and a team needs to throw a 50 yrd + pass to win is called a Hail Mary. The game ain't over till the time clock runs down.Doug Flutie and Kordell stewart are a couple players I've seen win games with the hail mary.
If you don't score/or get the first down, then ball goes over to the other team.
On West virginia's fake punt: Some coaches will risk it all. I've seen games lost in the final seconds when that play wouldn't work. This reason, was to keep the ball away from georgia-run out the clock. They needed 6 yards, and got 10 yards. Now they got 4 more plays-downs- to get the next first down or let the clock run out of time. When a team has a ball, very hard for the other team to score with the exception of fumble/ interseption/block field goal/or blocked punts.
I watched part of that game. It was 28-0, a minute and a half into the second quarter and finally georgia scored before I left for work. It surprised me that georgia came back.
Pro Football, OK, College Football-Anything can happen.Very exciting. One minute a teams hot, next then they look like crap. It's all about momentum.

It will take me a while to digest all of that. With a bit of effort they could have made it virtually impossible to comprehend, without wishing to jump off the nearest viaduct in confusion!
And yes, I do have a wooden spoon!
Unfortunately, I am now beginning to understand it! Damn you all to Haides! Where is Cerberus when you need him?

I was actually just trying to see if that would get a reaction, but it took awhile. Americans probably named it 'football' because they thought we'd never find out about. What we call soccer is the real football, so it would sound ironic, if I was serious. I'll be careful of my words.

Thanks for the better passball (not football for culturally sensitive) defenitions Ashroy and Saugmon. I tried making it basic but for people that hate passball and grew up with football I understand the resistance. As for rugby, I trust you all to watch my back in the scrum mates!!!
