I do have some branded ritek ridata dvd+r's media code RITEK R03 002. When I was using ritek dvd+r's, I always prayed that I would get ricohjpn's as opposed to ritek coded media. The RITEK R03'S are still better than average budget media however imho. I never had much luck with ritek G04 dvd-r's and therefor quit using them and never even tried any G05's.
I'd heard the RiData was now carrying the Ritek codes. Apparently there are different "lines" making the brand. Nothing like opening up a package and seeing that dark purple Ricoh dye. It always made me feel I was getting the good stuff. I won't get into Ritek, there's a story there. Let it suffice to say they played with the dyes and the quality was up and down for a while. Ricoh has kept up the quality and have now moved into the North American market with +R under their own brand.
That is good to know. I'll keep my eyes peeled when in the market for some more media. I primarily use verbatim DVD+R inkjet hub printables now but still like to keep some non printable media around. Take care brobear, good talking with you.
