I think youve pretty much exhausted our abilitys you could post your log youll find it where max burn said try a system restore if you have xp or me otherwise I think its time for a visit to your local repairman this issue could be related to bios setting ide control drivers faulty power unit cables or motherboard and I dont want to start diagnosing that over the net to complex and to risky its unlikly that two roms have failed at once though possible

I wasnt watching this thread..
Once you get to the log file, each burn will be divided by something like this:
Quote:
====== *** NeroAPI, History File *** ======

Windows XP 5.1
IA32
that was from a Nero 6 log, but 7 looks much like that. Underneath the divider is the operating system, and right below that is the begining of the serial number. When posting a log, just include the last burn log, and edit out your numbers by typing xxxx over the numbers. That way no one will be able to steal your Nero. If you left your number up there, and some unsavory type saw that, they could steal your copy's number, and eventually YOUR copy will not work.. So the best thing to do is avoid all that in the first place by editing out the number BEFORE you post to a pubic forum..
You will be using either version 6 or version 7, but that is where the history files are, and they keep a record of all burns, not just one burn. Posting the whole thing is not needed, and is a pain to wade thru..
I hope that clears things up for you. Once you post your log, ppl will be able to look thru it and tell you what they see wrong. You dont have to try to interpret it yourself.
