I remember EVERYTHING except the black-jack gum! #2 Those were "green" wax coke bottles #3 They STILL make candy cigarettes (I was surprised when I saw them just last week #6 Home milk delivery, glass (quart only at first then half gallon) bottles with cardboard stoppers...pasturization wan't invented yet so cream use to come to the top and we use to joke when they froze because the cardboard stopper would pop out and you'd have this six in phallus shaped cylinder of frozen cream/milk with the stopper frozen to the top. #7 Party Lines; we had four families to each phone number and the phone would ring differently at each household. #11 Phone prefix; ours was PO-2-5571 (PO was for "poplar") #12 Peashooters: those were a blast, wish I still had one! 14# 45rpm records...you forgot 16 rpm LOL! #15 S&H green stamps...licking ten zillion stamps into that stupid book...good thing they later came our with the larger ones. #18 Mimeograph paper ... I don't think I'll ever forget the smell of the ink ... I loved that smell (maybe getting high and I didn't know it LOL) #19 Blue flash bulbs...looked like bad blue acne after you took the pic #23 Drive in theaters: how long can you get away with saying you're under 12...how many buddies can you fit in the trunk of your car? #25 Wash tub wringers don't forget the two tubs...one for soapy water and the other for rinsing!

I still go to this ancient art-deco silver top diner; they still have the juke boxes at even table but they removed the originals long ago. There is this woman who owns it and still waits on tables at 80 something...he name is Jo-Anne (the diner's name is also) and she had a mouth cussing like a marine and she always has a camel between her lips with two inches of ash on it but somehow she never gets it your food. It's the only place open at three in the morning when the bars close so you have every imaginable sort in there...bikers, truck drivers, drag-queens, cops, everybody and most of them drunk ... place is a real howl. Never any trouble though; I can imagine Jo-Anne coming out with a sawed off double barrell but haven't seen it yet! Great place though! ... in a perverse sort of a way LOL!

@polyarmy: Puff the magic dragon: I strongly suspect PP&M were puffing away when they recorded the song back in the early 1960s (Long before you were a twinkle in your daddy's eye...hell, your daddy might not have been a twinkle in your grandaddy's eye ... hell, I'm getting old!) I'm not sure that they wrote it though; I'll have to look that one up.
