the number around the hub ONLY FOR TAIYO YUDENs are the "batch" numbers of when they were made, this is TY's own coding system to differentiate when they were produced from "batch to batch" :) as to the discs that YOU have gotten, the MIT numbers don't mean a darn thing actually, because we are obviously not talking about Taiyo Yudens...as to the 100 pack you have of the fujifilm and the verbatims, i'm guessing that the Fujifilm 8x DVD-R are pretty crappy (if they are MIT) you will get either Fujifilm03 MID coded or ProdiscF01 coded media, not the best media in my opinion, you could do a lot better for the same price...namely, the Verbatims :)

all the single layer Verbatims are PReTTY MUCH all made in taiwan, so you really don't need to be as "picky" about them...they are made by Mitsubishi Chemicals Corp. or "MCC" on the media id coding, these are excellent discs in BOTH formats, DVD-R or DVD+R :) the 16x Verbs you got (if they are the DVD-R format will be coded MCC03RG20 or MCC004 if in the DVD+R format) both are very good quality discs, MUCH better than the FUJIFILM made in taiwans~ :)

now got 5 power calibration errors with 5 diff discs... burning now with the CMC discs and it works, avoid newegg....they sell counterfeit chinese crap

power calibration error
session fixation error
could not perform end of disc-at-once
