yeah i thought about that but i din want to lose any quality,

check out my current background
i reckon its the best background ive seen, its gonna be my wallpaper for the whole 12 months

hey ive seen whats wrong
my other pic is in 480X272
my working backgrounds are only 300X170

I just used gimp to scale the image and it worked became 149kb

I got it off some website but didnt like the original design of it, so i sorted it out with photoshop......

Yep but i like them, in some ways because once i had the gta background you know when u go to saved data utility and select gta, theres that dark background. I liked it but the wavy lines got in the way so i used that hex editor and took them out, but in some other ways like my current background i like the wavy lines....

P.S, i prefer Jas if you dont mind lol.

hmm how long have you been using hex? i've had it about 2 months now and barely used it.
i only used it once to mess with the icons then i said fuck it...
whats wrong with jask?

btw piece hex editor and flashmod are essentially the same program with flash mob being noob/lazy friendly.

didn't work. Is it true I can use mphloader to trick my psp into thinking it's a 2.0 firmware and then just change my wallpaper that way?

I don't know if you guys know, but I use flashmod, AND I've also used PSPersonalize. You CAN use a .jpg image as your wallpaper. It works great! So if you're worried about the size of the image, worry no more...
