you just have to replace the prx's with ones from a working backup
You dont have to do anything else.
No need to decrypt anything just replace the PRX's

I mean a game you have backed up or ripped before and is also in ISO format.
Make sure it works without any mods to it. Eg, NFS most wanted or world series of poker or Ape academy.

Okay piecefull, i think i did what u said.
Did nothing except changing the prx file ( i did it with Ape academy's copied over to smw )
But there is still a problem, i manage to load the game, but only till the first page where it says something like for first timer, do u want to set it as easy difficulty. After that, the screen seems to freeze there (blank screen).
Any idea what could be the problem ?

piecefull, I followed your instructions to the T and still couldn't get it to work. The problem before about overwriting was just me not knowing that you could drag-and-drop the folders in UMDGen. I thought you had to File>Open (this is where it looked for an .iso file so I thought you had to overwrite files in the iso file). I looked for fixes on ps2nfo.com but hte files didn't seem to match mines. I will try variating things like using different UMD's and such.

Shokk yeah that link was for you but anyway
ive never had a problem, if i remember correctly i didnt have to change any prxs. Its only if it doesnt work that you change the prxs

What i suggsest you do now is try without modifying the iso, and use the benandanna pack to load it. If you havent already.

Can i ask why is there 2 UMD emulator and a fastloader ?
My usual way of loading 2.0+ games is go thru UMD and then MPH, is that all i need to do ?
If i did not do any modification to the ISO and leave it as it is, i would not be able to even boot up the game to the first page. Anyway, the forum classify the game as Group A where it need to either replace the prx or working with decrypted. Weird that i cant play it :(

I dont know why theres fastloader there
All you have to do is UMD emulator and MPH just like you said
So did you decrypt the prxs or just replace them? if you did one now do the other n vice versa.

The only modification i did for that boot up is use the original prx of ape academy and copied over.
What do u mean by decrypting prx ? Copy all those files in modules to that ENC folder ?

Do you need a GTA UMD for this work? The MPH loader I downloaded from php-hacks.com says to have a GTA UMD in the drive.

Ahh.. haven been messing with psp these few days.
Anyway, when i tried to decrypt the prx files of samurai, it says error for decypting those files after i click the program in psp.

I get the same thing with the decrpytor piece gave me, and my acid wont work for nothing.
this one does decrypt them for me but doesnt make the game work
maybe it will for u

lol... This game just dont want me to play it !
Well i manage to decrypt the prx thx to joeva's link but it just wun boot in MPH after i regen back the ISO.
Guess ill get other games to play instead of this. Anyway, whatdoes it mean by fixes if i wanted to play Syphon or worms ?

shokk i told you pm your email to me and ill help you get it working.
the fixes are the now packs that have come out for the newer backups
each game has its own pack, the packs come with instructions.
I get my packs at ps2nfo
