I am trying to help my dad do the same thing, but while reading your thread, I got the feeling you want to continue to add, if you try writing to a DVD Rw will that accomplish what you are trying to do? As the small ones can be either DVD R or DVD RW, but you can add to the large DVD RW and not finalize until you are finished. Just my thoughts while reading your delimmas.

OK, I have spent a few weeks (really!) trying to copy my small dvd's from my camcorder onto a large dvd.
I have 2 drives so I figured it would be a piece of cake. Had no luck - posted many messages, contacted support for all the software companies..just chased my tail.
FINALLY, I ran across a dvd-guides.com which really explained how to copy videos onto a multisession dvd.
I did the download for dvd decrypter & dvd shrink.
I followed all the isntructions.
I copied 3 small dvds onto one large dvd.
I put it in my dvd player & it PLAYED!! WITH SOUND!! I thought I was home free....................suddenly, the sound was still playing but the movie was frozen in one spot...what has gone wrong?? I took the dvd out, cleaned it and it still does it. WHAT IS THE PROBLEM NOW?????

Well, it has been determined it is probably a disk error. I found additional helpful websites and found some Taiyo Made in Japan DVD-R to buy and once I get them I will try again & I pray I am home free.

I am consolidating family videos and fear them getting erased that is why I am using DVD-R instead of RW.
