with a personal firewall you cant do much (such as mcafee or norton) but with a real firewall you can. it doesn't matter what kind of modem or connection you got, inbound and outbound packets dont care what they are riding, as long as they get where they need to go. with a good firewall you can isolate anything. the trick is knowing what to allow and what to block.

Zonealarm pro is a very good firewall but has a couple a problems! 1 being that it eats resources!

ok how many MBs on this one dela?, you know, I still have Norton A/V,& firewall installed since the last conversation we had about sytem resources. (after all, its rated the best) I think was my argument.

lol, well thats cool. I have AVG installed as an antivirus and usually run zonealarm even though it often kills emule on me and likes to take up a lot of resources!!
