lindadobe,
I thought you were in Germany. saugmon is correct as a PAL Movie will go B&W if you try to view on NTSC. Below is a thread that talks about convert PAL to NTSC. Some used VobBlanker and some used Avi2DVD and also other programs were used. Read the posts as the instructions are there. Do not be suprised if the conversion is a little jumpy as you are changing Framerates
