ill wait till they found out what security 3.0 has - then if its uncrackable ill be staying with 2.01 - just to be a stick in the mud

I don't know 3.0 sounds fishy to me, there probally making it with loads of features to get the 1.5 extinct, but once that happens I'll be rich lol. My psp be worth half a grand

I haven't heard much about firmware ugrade 3.0

I just got PSP 2 days ago & upgraded to 2.0

I read somewhere that VOIP capabilities is on the horizon, as well as GPS (I hope of the navigation kind). Wonder how much that will cost?

it should play all types of files, espically .wmv, and let u download any games and play them like the 1.5 but also let u play new psp games

i wouldnt hold my breath and get v3.0 they are getting a lot of games to work right now and there is always progress in the hacking scene and that is good enough for me to stay on my 1.5

I don't know if many people will agree with me but I think that firmware 3.0 will be very easy to hack (homebrew wise) because sony is openingt the doors by letting in ps1 emulation...althought still psp backups might be harder to crack....I don't know someone please help me decide wether I should stick to 2.50 or go to 3.0, my opinion is to stay with 2.50 because, it will eventually be hacked before 3.0 (in my opinion)

By the way, when is firmware 3.0 coming??? 2006??

theoretically it sounds logical to be honest. but i don't i am sure sony will cover their tracks as best as possible, however you are right if 3.0 is going to be exploited its going to be through the ps1 emulation
