Has anyone had trouble making a copy of the copy? I used AnyDVD and shrink and the movie copied, however when I try to make a copy of that copy I get errors. I had the same problem with Dick and Jane

bkhill ,
Use DVDDecrypter to do it:
1. Insert DVD to be copied
2. In DVDDecrypter Go to Mode >then iso >then read ( remember where the files DVDDecrypter writes the DVD movie to)Click the read button at the bottom
3. After the reading is done use the browse button in DVDDecrypter and find the files DVDDecrypter did. Click on the .mds file
4. Then in DVDDecrypter Go to Mode> then .iso> then write
5. Click the DVD Write button at the bottom and wait

bkhill, your problem is probaby poor quality media ,use better media Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim and slow down your burn speed to 4x when backing up the store bought dvd then you can use Nero to make a copy or DVD Decrypter ISO read ISO write

I just realized that I was using Sony DVD-R and Hostel would not burn.
The rip is good, I just couldn't for the life of me figure out why it wouldn't burn with Nero 7, till I used an Imation DVD-R.
For some reason after using the newly released version of Clone DVD, some sort of protection was still remaining that knew I was using Sony media. Hurray!!!!

Clone DVD is the ONLY ONE STEP COPY SOFTWARE for (CSS, RC, RCE, UOPs and Sony ARccOS) CloneDVD will auto remove all protections while copying, let you freely copy all of your DVD movie collections.

DVDFab cannot do it without taking that extra step to shrink a movie to fit on a DVD5.

2541510, CloneDVD 2 DOESNT remove any protection its a transcoder/burning engine AnyDVD removes the protection from the dvds.

dvdfab DVD Shrink etc. (freeware) will all work if you follow this guide.

http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/255980

IMHO your best bet is CloneDVD 2 with AnyDVD though and heres a guide for it

http://bbmayo.home.comcast.net/

remember to use good blank media (Taiyo Yuden and or Verbatim) NOT Imation(junk media) and burn at 4x starting out

I had no problems with this movie. First I tried "Shrink" by itself but it did'nt work. Next I tried "Decrypter" and still no luck. I finally ran it through "DvdFabDecrypter" and alas there it went! I "backed it up" with "Shrink" and chose my target as "ISO File then burn with Decrypter".

After that it ran the "ISO" image through "Decrypter" for the burn. You should have no problems if you are using the latest version of "DvdFabDecrypter".

Perfect burn! Well not perfect but high up there in percentage score with "Nero" anyway.

(aabbccdd) YOU did not understand my thread!

I did not say Clone DVD2. I don't have AnyDVD. DVD Shrink doesn't work with ARccOS protections. It needs help using other software.

I used just Clone DVD. www.clonedvd.net
I used Clone DVD2 and doesn't work. Why use 2 software instead of one? Yes you need to buy Clone DVD but it less a hassle.

By the way afterdawn.com needs to update the version on their website. v3.9.1 is a total solution for ARccos protections.
