if someone thinks they're being 'bullied' they only have to report an 'offensive report' or PM a mod. As to policing, 'fraid it goes with the territory, there's a lot of tikes who have less than no respect for anyone

You have subscribed to 12 discussion threads so far today." Only got ants in my pants once, but sat back and understood that the anonymous nature of forums, and the internet, can be harsh. People don't think past the ends of their noses when typing away. They try to so hard to convince everyone else that they are right, reguardless. It can be very impersonal, so I have started to focus on trying to help and add a diffrent view point to new threads. And leave the, moaning and groaning to the people who are more concerned about themselves. If I can help at least one person with a problem, "which might seem trivial to me," "but may be an atom bomb to them." Then all of the negativity and bad atmosphere just fades away.

A lot of folks around here wonder how I made moderator :P Basically I just helped and helped and helped in the forums and was fairly well behaved. If you put in your time, know what you're doing and have a good rapport with the community in general as well as the mods (they're the ones who nominate) you certainly have a chance of being considered when the call comes for new mods.
Moderating takes up most of mjy time here but I still get in the forums every now and again. Like creaky said we still have fun although it can get old dealing with so many idiots that give you a hard time for enforcing the rules.
What would we do without you ireland? :)

Jazo, i think you and i both know that you probably got banned because you posted a link in numerous shoutboxes, and i think that a number of people *including me* wheren't too appreciative of it, and i have this hunch that some people reported it, and that was why you got the boot...

I think a permanant ban is a little harsh, but I don't appreciate my shoutbox being spammed, nor did I appreciate your buddy dg089 when he did it. I think you just picked the wrong shoutbox to spam and got what the herbsman thought you had coming to you.
