Ya I would just love to have someone explain this to me. I only can access 2.00 firmware with a socom ftb disc, and it worked online. When I tried the same method after starting everything over with a 2.5 disc. I thought I bricked me psp when I got a black screen, and when rebooting a blue screen with tons of words I didn't read when it just said press circle to redo settings. I don't think this can brick, but it sure is scary. Any help would be awesome, and is fight night round 3 working?
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present. |

i got the pack from here

which is supposedly the complete pack with everything, so i copied
the PSP and dh folder over to my psp and everything is fine, devhook works and can see the isos in the iso folder. i change the settings to those suggested and then press O to start then i get black screen then crash.

look at my post on the first page for Breath of Fire, it will boot that way. I dont have all those games, but I know u have to swap the prx's out on FIFA. Thats what i had to do to get capcom classics to boot, and its a 2.6 game.

thanx for your help ill give it a try, so when you press O to start is the game supposed to start or is it supposed to go to the menu and you start some other way?

no, thats how u know those settings arnt correct. Took me a bit to figure it out with BoF, then i just changed the settings around a bit and directly booted, without ever reaching the 2.5 bowser. Capocm classics, on the other hand, did a quasi reset and then directly booted, i never had to manuver in the 2.5 browser. In my short experience with this loader, if u have to navigate the 2.5 browser the settings are not correct for that particular game;)

im pretty confused with the prx files thing..... what does it mean when it says to replace the prx's from another game...does it mean i need to have another x in my root or i need to get the prx's and replace them in the iso...the game im talking about is splinter cell essentials...thanx for any help

Splinter Cell doesn't work on anything other than 2.6 for right now.
Edit: Well, nevermind. Apparently I can't read and I'm effing stupid. I was wrong, again.

swapping prx's allows game that need a certain frimware, such as 2.5 or 2.6 to load on 1.5. These prx's on the 2.5 and 2.6 games are encrypted, making them unable to load on 1.5 fw. So, lets say, u take the prx's from a 1.5 game like metal gear acid or SWs battlefront 2 and replace them with the ones in a 2.5 game, u now have decrypted prxs in that game and give it the ability to boot. It has nothing to do with the x folder. Its actually pretty easy....use UMD Gen and load an iso of a one of the 1.5 games i mentioned. Go to the module folder and extract all the prxs u find. Next, open the iso that wont boot in UMD Gen. One by one, right click every prx in that games, select replace, and choose thr corresponding prx u extracted from the 1.5 game. When u are done, go to file, select save, name it and save it. Now u have an 2.5 or what fw game u are trying to play with decrypted prx's.
Splinter Cell is 1 of the few games that is still tryin to be figured out, but it is worth a shot to do the method i just explained with it. I personally dont have that iso, so i cant help much with it, but the idea is the same. I did the method with capcom classics (2.6 game): swapped its prx's with the ones from battlefront 2 and it worked perfectly.

thanx svtstang...my dad has a new 06 mustang gt..imma big mustang fan....lol...so yeah i know about that...i had to do that wen gta iso first started working....i dont know why because i have the umd...so ok..so when it says replace prx i need to get battlefront iso to replace it...and also that other game..or can i find the prx's without the games?

sorry man, i cant find the battlefront prx's.....u dont need them, these are from DBZ and are decrypted, meaning they will work just as well.
