I am having the same problem with my Liteon dvd drive. For some reason region 1 dvds load fine, but most all region 2 dvds have trouble loading and make a clicking sound. Most of the time I just have to reinsert the disc, but sometimes it takes quite a few times to be read. Last night I tried for about an hour to get a LOST dvd to load and it never would.

kzm007, were you able to solve the problem with the suggestions offered?

Probably because your drive is set to Region 1 and Region 2 won't play in it. Go here and find your burner model and dl the file that will set your drive to region free.

Yes, that was the first problem I had. I do have region free software and both regions play, it just seems like the dvd drive has particular trouble loading a region 2 dvd. Last night was the first time I just couldn't get it to play at all...just kept making the clicking sounds.

I've been watching both region 1 and 2 dvds for the last couple of weeks with the region free software with no problems...just the initial clicking with region 2 dvds...
