I just find it amusing as well that they announce the modchip.
Everyone starts going nuts.
Then on pspupdates, they announced the modULE, which would be only $50.
Then now the downgrader after all the doubts.
I love it.
Glad me and my friend havent jumped any guns.
Still laughing at a friend of mine, buying a brand new, sealed 1.5 and immediately upgrading.
Not even for a game

hey, I'm gonna see if I can get GtaUK to try and I was gonna get 1/2 of this done now. (My v1.50 part) then I was gonna upload it so if he really wanted to try, he could. We would then post his results, but I don't know the damn password b/c the file is password proteKted. Anyone know the PW?

Hell, nevermind Guano. See if you can do it with GTAUKs thing if you want. Use the charger and the battery seeing as some batteries have bricked while running the downgrader. If it "bricks" it might be that the battery has bricked.
My suggestion to you guys is to get a dump of a clean 1.5. Make sure the 1.5 has no custom eboots or anything with the flash, anything at all, version number and etc, changed. Restore Default Settings and format the memory sticks on both PSPs before you run the dump program or the downgrader program.
Ummmm, stang.........what was that about you seeing that there was no point to the mod-chip as it was a waste of a 100 dollars?

I was referring to all the desperate 2.5+ users that are lookign at this new exploit to solve their problems. You really need to read what people say, I never said that 1.5 users should buy the chip, and I never will unless your a fat lazy cheap a$$

yeah guys, i pussed out. its just to much to risk. But it does say on ps2nfo that "PSPXNAX has just tested this on a 2.60 PSP and confirmed it worked, and downgraded his PSP to 1.50" so thats more good news i guess
