Quote:Neither 'DVD Decrypter' nor 'Nero' would open the eight files contained in the VIDEO_TS folder on the C: drive (C:\MOSQUITO_COAST)
DVD Decrypter can only burn ISO image File not VIDEO_TS, which is what u have on the C drive,DVD Shrink can create either a ISO image file, or a hard disk folder(Video_ts)
the differene between a ISO file and a Video_Ts folder is that the Video_TS folder has a single files of the movie, like the 8 in ur folder, the ISO would be ONE file thats has those 8 files in it.
Hope that wasn't confusing,
Also i would not use Sonic as i said before, i used it and had numerous problems with it, IMGburn is a free burning program that can burn both ISO files and Video_TS folder, very good burning program.
Also i would not get rid of DVD Decrypter because it is still a very good ripper. especially for older movies that r SL disks, because all u would have to do to make a copy is ISO/Read, then ISO/Write, very simple
Quote:'Select backup target:' [Here was selected my computer's D: drive, i.e., the CD/DVD drawer where a burnable disc was inserted.]
One more thing i do not understand how u have ur burner selected in the select backup target, the only options is the three in Noqoilpi's post
Sorry, was I supposed to get back on the above? I'm not sure that I was following you. My copy of 'DVD Shrink' (in combo with 'DVD43') now seems logically set up and to do the job. I do need to perfect what items from a commercial disc stay in, and which can be excluded (or replaced with a still image). But that seems a lesser matter. I've currently got hoards of other things demanding my attention (incl. other computer problems)!
