Damnit!, I just called microsoft and they told me I had no warranty at all!. The guy I was talking to in the first place couldn't understand enouhg english to tell me if I had it or not. So now if I want my Xbox 360 to be fixed I am stuck with a $157 serice charge. I am assuming that the service charge is just the cost of them "looking" for a problem and nor actually fixing the Xbox itself, and then they will stick my with the cost of fixing whatever the problem is and the cost of $&H most likely. The least I an say is I am p!ssed that thiss happened to me.

Are you going to send it in still. Try calling again. State that you saw 3 red light when you first got it then you just kept restarting the system. M$ usally will send you a refurb free of charge even if your warenty is up if you say that.

They had been saying that the box would arrive in 2 days for 2 weeks now. I called 4 days ago and they said they would call me in 2 days and they didn't I called and they told me two more days. Today they finally called and told me my console was somehow "falsely registered" and that is when they told me I had no warranty.

I officially hate Microsoft's Customer care

$157 covers them fixing or replacing the xbox w/ a refurb. not just to look at it, so your in the clear there.

the falsley registered i don't get, unless someone F'd up at CC, tell them you want to speak to management.

I had already spoken to everyone there works there pretty much. When I called the first time the normaly person that answers the phone and works there picked up. The 2nd time the supervisor picked up and second time the supervisors superviser called because I was starting to tell them what I really thought of them lol. They said it was falsly registered because when I called the guy that didn't know enough english typed my SN wrong and it came up as an Xbox that was recently boughten so after they straigtened that out they told me my warranty was gone and I would have to pay.

Yeah, Thats what I figured too. I think I might end up paying the $157 service charge if it does, in fact cover the cost of them repairing it or sending me a refurb one too. It is alot better than buying a new one or selling it all together because then I still wont have all the money back that I payed for it and I wont have an xbox. So in the long run it will be worth paying $157 id the refurn I get doesn't screw up on me too.

Well, I called. I got upset at them and they just told me they would send the box as soon as possible, just like every other time. So basically it seems like they don't really care how crappy my service is from them. I figure it might just be worth it to pay the $157 service fee and be out 157 dollhairs then to be out $575 [the price of the Xbox itself]. I called about 3 days ago and they assured me the box would here in 2 days or less, Still havent got it! Their Customer Service blows!! If I dont here anything by tomorrow evening Im calling back for the 4th time and they'll definitely send it when Im done lol

make sure to purchase the 2yr coverage after you get it back, if u don't use it big deal, but it could save you another $160 in 4 months.
