I dont think I have a soft mod, Some guy did it for me and I saw somewhere in the xbox that t has a executer 2.6 chip which suprised me a little as I didnt think they worked with 1.6 versions.. Also I have to do the eject button to boot normally and power button to boot the mod and from what I have read tonight it appears that looks like the softmod but to be honest I am really not sure.

To tell you the truth i'm not really sure what the capabilities of a chip are compared to a softmod.
Do you have any other games currently on the HD that work?

Weird... I guess that means its not the FTP program.
I would try a different game using the same process
It really shouldn't be this hard, i hate when things don't work.

One thing I have noticed is that after ripping a game to the hard drive from the dvd is that at the end it say to wait for the acl which I assume is the access control list. Could it be something to do with this?

I know what your going through, it drives me crazy.
The game location should look like this F:\Games\YOUR GAME\default.xbe should be here along with other files

After it's done with the acl the screen will say something like files copied successfully, press start to complete.
Do you wait until its done or do you take the dvd out?

Copying form a dvd is not a problem at all. I wait for it to complete and then the game plays fine. I am trying FlashFXP one more time just in case I been a numpty but if it dont work I am thinking about formatting the bloody thing and starting again :P

Sounds good
When you FTP, some files may not transfer because there names are too long, make sure your queue is fully empty.

An auto installer would work fine to install whatever you want on the xbox.
I haven't used one but i've seen many people who have.

Morrk,
Did a little research, and a lot of people have been doing everything you have been doing except patch the .xbe file. I know you have to do this if you want to burn it to a dvd, but maybe you don't if you are ftping it. If your looking for things to try, this might be it.
If you are going to do this I would start over fom extracting the iso.

Nate I am not sure what has fixed it but I formatted the crummy evox from the box tonight and went for the Auto_Installer_Deluxe_v3.04 deluxe. I installed the unleashx dash, then ftp'd a game with no patching and guess what. I god damn works :))
The only think I am a little concerned about is that it seemed to copy a lot of apps to e:\ does this mean I can more or less clear f:\ now?
Once again thx Nate you have saved my marriage and my sanity :))

That's Awesome!
By the way you can clear whatever you don't want in the F drive
I think I went from a Newbie to a Junior member because of all the messages in this thread, so no problem on my part.

Yes, just copy the application to the apps folder on the E drive. I use unleashx for this.
By the way you have to select where you want the application to be copied to on the right side, then copy the folder over, otherwise it doesn't know where to copy it.
