Really?!?
The files I have (and I expect singku has the same kind as well) only work for some 60 days or something when you buy the license. After that you have to keep buying the license every month for them to keep working. It's ****ing irritating and stops you from watching them on another PC or a dvd etc. meaning i can never actually own the file.
Because of this, I don't think it's going to be easy getting around the 'security'. Is there just no hope?

!!! Sorry about that! I probably shouldn't even suggest there's no hope for such things here. I'll rephrase the last question: Should I just give up?

Well I am not sure about the legaliy of this now. If the files you have only work for 2 months then your essentially renting them. So helping you de-drm those would be illegal I believe. If it was more like you bought the license and it works forever then yeah it would be legal, but this I am not so sure about. As I don't want to cross any legal lines or forums rules and possibly get a temp./perm. ban I will not be answering these questions. But there is plenty of information out on the 'net. Just search google for something like how to strip playsforsure drm

Ok, that's fair enough. Thanks for your help.
Most of what they are 'renting' cannot be bought (I looked) and I honestly believe should be free for anyone but I think I have enough information now to stick it to those greedy monopolizing ****s now anyway.

(I know it's not important but I really feel the need to state that I am referring to videos of Wimbledon tennis matches and NOT pornography though I suppose I hold marginally more contempt for them than IBM who I do intend to screw.)

A month ago I upgraded my computer to a new CPU, mobo, and hard drive and have started installing my programs again. I have reactivated my OS (Windows XP Pro).

I now have a problem with certain files that used to play and still play on my laptop (whihc has been running for years and has the same and programs (although possibley older versions), but now say they Rare under DRM and cannot be played. Others that played Ok after the initial upgrade now just show a blank screen with no sound and the slider moves to the right.

I think one of the recently re-installed programs must have changed something. Some of the ones most recently installed include Nero, DixXPro and JetAudio.

I suspect some of the problem maybe due to new CODECS, but any insights or help is appreciated.

I've recently bought the rugby world cup games from the online site and download them from there. I wanted to put them into a DVD format to get them off of my hard drive and be able to play them on conventional DVD players. Unfortunately they are protected with the DRM. I have legally bought these, so is there anyway for me to get them on a DVD? They are in .wmv format.

I think a quick google search for how to remove drm from video + fairuse4wm should help. If you don't find anything on the results page that doesn't help then let me know.

I actually had someone else tell me about fairuse4wm earlier tonight after I had already posted this and it did work. I had heard that it would not work with Vista, but tried it anyway and it worked fine for me! Thanks for replying though.

Ok...this is simple
take your file and use All To MP3 Converter and convert to mp3 http://www.wma-mp3.com/all2mp3.exe, or use this by the same company http://www.wma-mp3.com/pmconverter.exe.

If you like wma better sorry...these programs will strip the protection and reformat to mp3, if you want you can then reformat back to wma...but why? screw microsoft.
