Use the DevHook 2.71/2.8 hybrid to run 2.81 games, more info here:

This is how you get the game running:
1. Download the fix from here:
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=2ELIVWJN
2 The instructions for the fix are:

Game does not boot untouched, fix is included.
1. Extract ISO, and psy-yugxtf-fix.rar
2. Put ISO and fix.bat in same folder
3. Run fix.bat
A new working ISO will be generated which works
with latest Devhook, enjoy another one from your
friends as psyfer!
3.Then run it normally with DevHook

when i get to the deck edit on the main menu, it keeps loading. like as if it was frozen.

EDIT: Hmm not sure why it freezes, maybe its a common problem, I dont have the game so I can't check.
Are you using the DevHook 2.71/2.8 hybrid?

yes i just installed that DevHook 2.71/2.8 hybrid a while ago. it still freezes when i duel someone and when i go to deck edit. it goes into like infinite loading. any help on that? thanks
o yea on the DevHook 2.71/2.8 hybrid, it has two choices. one is devhook 2.8 hydrid for 2.7SE and the other one is devhook 2.8 for 1.5 which one should i choose. i installed the first one. what is the difference?

What firmware do you have?
If you have firmware 1.5, then chose: devhook 2.8 for 1.5
If you have the 2.71 SE custom firmware then chose devhook 2.8 for 2.7SE

i have custom 2.7 fm running on my 1.5 fm. what does this DevHook 2.71/2.8 hybrid do?? is it supposed to make the devhook emulates to 2.8??

No it doesn't emulate firmware 2.8, it just allows new games requiring firmware 2.8 run without any patching
Anyway, you should have chosen devhook 2.8 for 1.5, so...reinstall it :)

but yugioh game requires 2.81 fm. even if u have fm 2.80, there is stil going to be an issue.

Sorry I forgot to mention it works with 2.81/2.82 games as well.
So anyway, did you try installing DevHook hybrid for firmware 1.5?
BTW you're not running firmware 2.71 custom firmware, you are only emulating firmware 2.71 with DevHook on firmware 1.5.

that's great, ok i just finished installing the DevHook 2.71/2.8 hybrid for 1.5. i need help with the devhook setting now. the devhook menu looks differnet from the old one. what setting should i have. thanks
Now the devhook gets frozen every time i launch a game. Need ur urgent help.

Hmmm it says the settings are preset for ease of use.
What are the default settings? What is the firmware setting?

eternalis, i got the DevHook 2.71/2.8 hybrid for 1.5 to successfully launched the game. but same thing happened. when i go to deck edit, it goes into infinite loading. omg this is like the only game that the problems keep persisting.

I tried that 2.71/2.81 Hybrid yesterday with the european version of Mortal Combat Unchained, the game said something in italian I couldn't understand and froze (I think it was something about my MS).
Today I found a 2.71/3.00 hybrid FW which works fine. Download this, put your old normal DevHook 0.46 back on your memorystick and change the "dh"-file on the root of your memorystick with the "dh"-file inside of this archive.

I found it at www.qj.net, but with the new DevHook 0.50 out it is old news but I wait for an easy installer for DevHook 0.50 before I try it. And yes, I tried the 2.71/3.00 hybrid with the european verison of Mortal Combat Unchained, an unpatched version I had dumped myself with Fastloader 0.7.
